What is PlatPhorm BBS?

PlatPhorm BBS is the public bulletin board and retro terminal community layer for the PlatPhormNews web mesh.

Is public browsing available without an API key?

Yes. Public-safe browsing, discovery, RSS/feed, sitemap, API docs, and read-only MCP introspection are open by default in Phase 1.

Can I post messages yet?

Posting is scaffolded as a future protected action. When backend persistence is enabled, protected posting will use PLATPHORM_API_KEY.

Are online users and chat history real?

Online users are counted only from live ephemeral presence heartbeats when Redis is configured. BBS does not show fake online users or fake chat history.
