What is PlatPhorm BBS?
PlatPhorm BBS is the public bulletin board and retro terminal community layer for the PlatPhormNews web mesh.
Is public browsing available without an API key?
Yes. Public Square posting, the Lobby, all games, and bbs/public file reads and writes need no key. Other bulletins, rooms, messages, and folders require a BBS user key or operator key.
Can I post messages yet?
Yes, when PostgreSQL persistence is available. Public Square posting and Lobby chat need no key. Member bulletins, other rooms, and private messages use a BBS user key or operator key.
Are online users and chat history real?
Yes. Online users come only from ephemeral Redis heartbeats, and public chat history comes from PostgreSQL. BBS does not invent users or messages.
